Google wants diversification in the SERP by featuring all types of content from different platforms—forums, social media, and more.
With that in mind, we now have many more sources of traffic than just the content on our websites.
Reddit is one of those sources. According to Ahrefs, Reddit receives over 900M visitors per month. Google loves Reddit!
However, Reddit is positioned as a platform where people share genuine experiences and knowledge with others—without promotion.
That makes it tough to advertise your brand or do affiliate marketing on Reddit, which is a great opportunity for those who know how to do it right. The harder it is to get something, the more valuable it becomes.
That’s why I decided to start experimenting with it at the end of Q3 2024 and find a way to promote on Reddit effectively.
My team and I are still running a lot of tests, so in this post, I’ll share the key findings from the last two quarters and how we currently work with Reddit. I’ll be sharing more in upcoming posts once we’ve got something valuable to show.
There was a question about the niches we’re working with (hi Alex 😉), so here’s where we’re mostly running tests: finance, real estate, home products, and iGaming (just started last month, so no significant results yet).

Some posts are already getting around 300 visits per day, according to Reddit’s analytics.

If you don’t, you have to create it and build post and comment karma (at least 15 in each section, or 30 combined). There is no way to proceed without it. Just do it.
